Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare standard monthly journal entries
- Assist with preparation of Quarterly and Annual Statements
- Prepare/Review accounts payable vouchers to include general ledger coding
- Obtain all required approvals to ensure compliance with the company’s policies and internal controls
- Complete monthly bank account and balance sheet reconciliations (accounts receivable) as assigned
- Prepare assigned audit work papers
- Assist other team members in the performance of their assignments and the overall goal of timely and efficient month end closings
- Special projects and other duties as assigned
- Ability to use computer and accounting systems to perform daily job duties
- Ability to interpret, file, and organize financial reports and data
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and account/ledger balancing
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with outside clients
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA strongly preferred, or plans to sit for the CPA exam
- 1 - 2 years of Accounting experience
- Desire to learn as much as possible and work in a high growth dynamic environment
- Proactive forward thinker with the ability to prioritize and contribute ideas to the team
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
